Springfield, October 24, 1979: My Forgotten Show

Back in 2015, when I started Grateful Seconds, I was convinced I had seen the Grateful Dead 80 times. I wrote about this for years, until I remembered that I did see October 24, 1979 at the Springfield Civic, in addition to the April 23, 1977, May 11, 1978 and January 17, 1979 shows, classics all.
What happened was I had a little too much lysergic on this evening and freaked a bit. I do remember I saw in the stands on stage right, where on every other show I was on the floor.  The trigger was remembering seeing Brent here, which could not have occured at those earlier shows.

While I consider this show #4 of 4 shows I saw in Springfield, there was a great Middle of the show S>S and S>F and a nifty Terrapin with a Playin sandwich.

Promised Land, Loser, Mama Tried-> Mexicali Blues, They Love Each Other, Minglewood Blues, Dire Wolf, Easy To Love You, Lost Sailor-> Saint Of Circumstance Scarlet Begonias-> Fire On The Mountain, Samson & Delilah, Terrapin Station-> Playin' In The Band-> Drums-> Wharf Rat-> Playin' In The Band, E: Johnny B. Goode
