If you can brave -5 degree weather on one more Saturday night in St Paul, MN, you might have seen the third show of the Wake of the Flood era. Happy 45th to you brave souls in the midwest who braved the elements for this night in 1973 (thanks mr charlie).
I would have started the 45th anniversary series with the Madison show on the 15th with the first Dark Star>Eyes>China Doll but alas the digital archive folks in Wisconsin are slow (fix this Madison heads and I can only get digital info through 1961). Not the case in Minnesota when you can always get at least two Twin Cities reviews of the band (see my 5-11-77 piece for two reviews as well).
In this show, we get a standalone Playin In The Band and a standalone Truckin to end set one and start two. No big The Other One or Dark Star, but we get the ultra rare and once-only Sunshine>China>Rider, about 1,243 grateful seconds of bliss.

A give local reviewer Marshall Fine credit for trying to keep up, with his Weeping Willow>China>Rider description, while we all know what really happened that night and how special it was with the brand new Here Come Sunshine making a perfect one-time only entry into China Cat Sunflower. Boy I listen to this very very often.

Hey Gang
This was my favorite tape when I was a kid. Here Comes Sunshine, Loose Lucy, and China Rider. I must have listened to this show two hundred times. What a treat to hear it again and being a Charlie Miller mix is just awesome.
